Sweet Letter Press is a design & letterpress studio based in Boulder, Colorado. We are a husband and wife team committed to making environmentally responsible choices, both in the high quality materials we choose and in our day to day operations. We specialize in extravagant and unique stationery for all of life’s sweetest moments.
As the oldest form of printing, letterpress is a highly labor intensive process in which each piece of paper is hand-fed into the press for every color applied. The unique deep relief quality of letterpress is achieved by pressing an inked plate into paper, creating a crisp, textured result. In the past several years, letterpress printing has enjoyed a notable resurgence. At Sweet Letter Press, we believe that the renewed interest in this centuries old method can be attributed to our collective need to connect to the world around us in a more grounded and authentic way.
We print all of our letterpress designs by hand on our 100 year old press in North Boulder. Drawing on our collective experience as a graphic designer and an illustrator, we bring a fresh and inventive perspective to this very traditional form. Sweet Letter Press creates invitations for weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, and anniversaries, as well as birth announcements, business cards, personal stationery and more.
